Barrier Methods
Diaphragm

This method has been widely used in the 70s and 80s. It consists of a cap accommodated to the cervix. The ideal size to each woman should be chosen in a gynecological appointment.

It must be used together with a spermicidal gel . It can be inserted a few hours before sexual intercourse

and should stay inside the vagina for at least 6 hours after.

It doesn't prevent STIs.
